Default Release Notices & Information

Fetish Versions
Fetish Nightfall is maintained by lordebon currently only comes in one major version:
*Fetish Core, which strives for maximum future-compatibility while incorporating all the core Fetish features you know and love.

Please report any bugs in the Fetish v12 Bugs thread.

Feeling generous?

Fetish Core
Fetish Core 12.5.2 Released (11/29/14)
  • Auto-hide code removed from the welcome window; a previous patch caused the code to stop functioning as desired, and the ability to hide the welcome window once again works by adding "cl_show_welcome_screen_on_startup 0" (without the quotes) to your EQ2.ini
  • Incorporated the adornment slot bugfix from June
  • Fixed for the missing buttons on the marketplace purchase confirm window
  • Add the images for the Add/Remove buttons on the new AoM equipment sets pane of the persona window

Fetish Core 12.5.1 Released (5/1/14)
  • Incorporate various changes in default (equipment reset window, reset all timers button, tradeskill window updates)
  • Fix event icons for 321+ AA in guild window
  • Members tab of guild window will now expand the location (zone name) field rather than the character's zone name. This will allow for better functionality with long zone names.
  • Add support for a few official EQ2MAP POI types that had been missing. Fetish-specific shiny POI types remain for your local use.
  • Fix the "my class & level" button in broker window so that it works for Channeler & onwards classes.

Fetish Core 12.5 Released (11/11/13)
  • Updated with various minor ToV changes to the UI.
  • Fix casting window/broken armor message potentially being too narrow.
  • Fix the starting city selection map during new character creation.
  • Added the missing auto-assist toggle to the pet options window.

Fetish Core 12.4.3 Released (10/01/13)
  • Support for changes related to Heroic Characters

Fetish Core 12.4.2 Released (07/23/13)
  • Support for new AA window and other GU67 changes.
  • Added the missing SC-based instant teleport button to the map window. It's smaller than default, but extends the top bar a little bit (may revisit this and make it cleaner in the future)
  • Examine item windows will now properly not appear off screen, for real this time.
  • Various minor cosmetic bugs fixed.

Fetish Core 12.4.1 Released (04/30/13)
  • Fixed ProxyActor (in-world tooltips) crash bug
  • Added Save/Load buttons to the Friends window.
  • Added toggle AutoAssist button to Pet window. Things are a bit cramped, I'll likely revisit the layout at a later date.
  • Added support for DailyObjective tab in quest window. This feature not yet implemented by SOE and thus will not actually be visible yet.
  • Lowered conversation choice spacing to make many-choice dialogues (e.g., harvester npcs) more compact.

Fetish Core 12.4 Released (02/26/13)
  • Guild window updated to include new guild achievements tab.
  • Examine window updated to include new green adornment stat preview feature.
  • Bag options popup window updated with new sorting options.
  • Also removed the default button (enter key functionality) on size presets. There can be only one! Enter should now hit apply and close the window like it was supposed to (this is a very old, Zonx-era bug)
  • Please note that the "Bag Options" icon will not be added to the bag menu at this time. Right clicking is not that hard. I will reconsider if there is great demand for it.
  • The [!] icon in the achievement window when unspent points exist is fixed now that I remembered about the alpha channel...

Fetish Core 12.3.3b Released (01/16/13)
  • Fixes the text overlapping the permissions dropdown in the container window.

Fetish Core 12.3.3 Released (01/15/13)
  • Container window updated with the new Permissions functionality. In lieu of a space-wasting tabber bar, the permissions page is toggled via a button at the top-right of the window.
  • Fixed L91+ events in the Guild Window having missing event icons.

Fetish Core 12.3.2 Released (12/18/12)
  • Container window updated with new "Deposit All" button, search box, and (apparently non-functional) dropdown filter.

Fetish Core 12.3.1 Released (12/14/12)
  • Tradeskill window fixed so that "Enter" works for the "Begin" and "Repeat" buttons again.
  • Examine window updated for PlayerStudio tag
  • Implied target window distance corrected
  • Research "Speed Up" button fixed.
  • Container window updated with Quantity sort button.
  • Quest feather added to the name/level bubble above NPCs' heads
  • Broker favorites updated to T10 and placed in descending tier order rather than ascending

Fetish Core 12.3 Released (11/12/12)
  • Updated for Chain of Eternity window changes
    • Death window updated with "point of need" rez, regular rez button moved to not overlap to avoid accidental clicks
    • Distance indicator on target/implied target
    • Achievement window set to use default. may be slimmed down in the future
    • Stack counter added to maintained window (untested)
    • Tradeskill window reverted to default due to major changes in CoE. Repeat button made default (works on enter). Planned to be reworked to reduce size in the future.
  • Replaced Xanadu item search link with EQ2U search link.
  • Merchant window filtering functionality added.
  • Updated a few DDS (UI texture) files to include new elements.

Fetish Core 12.2 Released (9/9/12)
  • Fetish Core officially released, includes updates for GU64.
  • Several old bugs have been fixed and the group window re-tuned for compatibility with SOEmote in both horizontal and vertical layouts.
  • The default click-cure action on the character window has been set to use T10 potions; a variant of the _Fetish_clickcures.xml using the old cureplayer mechanic for classes with cures and those playing in T9 and lower is included.
  • Added code (courtesy of drums) to prevent examine windows from spawning off-screen.

Fetish Core 12.3 has been released.

This version includes many changes based on the state of the UI on the Beta server; any changes between Beta and Live may result in incompatibilities or other issues.

Due to significant changes to the achievements and tradeskills window a reskinned version of the default has been used in order to ensure functionality. These windows will be reworked in the future to reduce whitespace and bring them back up to par with the rest of the UI.

Many of the changes are at this time only lightly. Please report all bugs in the thread linked in the first post. The next version will be 12.3.1 and will be released to fix any major bugs in version 12.3.

Fetish Core 12.3.1 has been released.

This minor update to 12.3 includes many bugfixes in 12.3 and a few updates to the examine and choice windows added to the live game since GU65. The Tradeskill window has also been updated to restore the enter key functionality; reskinning will not be done until the next update.

Any new bugs or changes SOE releases will be incorporated into the next release, expected to be 12.3.2. Support for the new Depot amenities will be provided after those go live.

Fetish Core 12.3.2 has been released.

This minor update to 12.3 includes all fixes in 12.3.1 plus another update to the container window for the new functionality added today. Please take care when using the Deposit All button, as it will indeed deposit everything it can in your inventory that will fit in that container; be sure to check your inventory before you accidentally deposit a pile of imbuing material along with your gathering goblin's junk.

Please note that the little filter dropdown in between the "Deposit All" button and the item removal buttons does not seem to be working even in the default version of the window, and the filter behavior is hard-coded and not something in the UI that can be changed. It's up to SOE to fix it or change it, unfortunately.

Fetish Core 12.3.3 has been released.

This minor update to 12.3 includes all fixes through 12.3.2 plus fixes/updates the container window for the new permissions UI and fixes the missing icons for L91+ events in the guild window.

For those waiting for the Tradeskill revamp, please be advised that that window will not be slimmed down until the recipe filter revamp is pushed live, in case they make major changes to the window in that process.

Fetish Core 12.3.3b has been released.

This is a fix-only update to 12.3.3 to address the issue of the inaccessible permissions drop-downs in the container window. These drop-downs should now be accessible at all window sizes.

Fetish Core 12.4 has been released.

This version includes GU65.5 updates to the guild window (achievements), examine window (green adorn level preview), and bag options window (sorting).

I've also finally found why the little [!] icon in the AA window when points are unspent was missing and fixed the issue.

Fetish Core 12.5 has been released. This version is for ToV and should not be installed on live until after ToV launches tomorrow.

This version includes updates for ToV to a number of windows as well as fixes for a few older bugs. It should be noted that 12.5 is being released ahead of ToV launch and thus has not been tested on live. As always, please report any bugs found in the Fetish v12 Bugs thread.

Fetish Core 12.5.1 has been released.

This minor update to 12.5 incorporates a number of small bugfixes as well as support for recent changes to the tradeskill window. A few unneeded/unmodified files have been removed from the install ZIP, for best results as always I strongly encourage unzipping into a fresh (empty) folder rather than overtop of an existing Fetish 12.5 install.

Fetish Core 12.5.2 has been released.

This minor update to 12.5 incorporates a few minor fixes and adds the images for the equipment set add/remove buttons introduced in AoM.

For users wishing to soft-update (rather than clean install), the only files updated between 12.5.1 and 12.5.2 are:
  • eq2ui_custom.xml
  • eq2ui_examine.xml
  • eq2ui_mainhud_welcome.xml
  • eq2ui_specialelements.xml
  • images/specialelements.dds
