The eq2ui_loginscene.xml on the updater's confirmed to be showing the splash screen correctly. Try deleting that file from the UI/ProfitUI folder and re-running the updater to force it to download a fresh copy. Also, check Settings for the file path and confirm that the Profit updater's installing files to the same location as your EQ2 game icon points to. It's possible you've got multiple game installations and the Profit updater's not pointed at the one you're actually running.
