I have that setup, but with confusing directory names! The 'customui' directory is actually called EQ2MAP as well:
/EverQuest II
............./UI
................/Default
................/EQ2MAP
......................./eq2map
And my EQ2.INI file is:
cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_subdir UI/
I've tried the XML file in UI, UI/EQ2MAP and UI/EQ2MAP/eq2map!!
