Try putting an empty file called nopatch.txt into the program folder. This should prevent the program from trying to patch itself.
What is written on the 2 buttons you are getting? Do they do anything?
Edit: Just install the latest version. Autopatching has been disabled there.

Did you select your UI folder already... by pressing on the "..." button next to the UI Dir Text Box?
Edit: Please make sure to select the main directory of a valid Fetish UI! There is some checks in the program that will disable most stuff until you have selected a valid Fetish UI Directory!
