AU files are new but old
 

I ran the auto-updates yesterday to see if there were any updates and i downloaded 2 files


eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_persona.xml

now i got really exited when i saw them download. but as it turns out, they were back to the way there were before he patched them... i.e. the inventory window was missing the apperince slots and the persona window wouldnt even open....

re-ran the AU and it says no new files found...

i have fixed the problem on here by deleting the persona file and downloading the mod file that was posted in the Thor forum for the apperince slots... just wanna see if this happened to anyone else

Same problem here. I just need to find that inventory replacement file again. The 3rd file I got was the crafting one, eq2ui_tradeskills.xml.

delete what you have and let the AU redownload them again.

I just migrated my domain over to a new host and those two files were old due to the site backup being perfomed before i updated them.

I updated both files with the new versions so all should be resolved now if you want to manually delete the files and redownload them.

I'll start working on enhancements again soon. ;)

Deleting these and letting AU run did not fix the issue for me. AU downloaded the same files.

I'm running a comparison now on the directory structure and files.

I'm assuming that the backup is corrupt.
I'll pull everything down manually from the old site and upload it to the new webhost ASAP. (I'm working on it now)

I'll post here once the moves are complete.

It's getting late so I can't perform a full verification tonight but i'll look into it closer tomorrow.

Appears to be fixed for me now. Deleted the 3 files and updated again just a few minutes ago and all is well again. Thank you.

I'm now down with all of this. I deleted the files to pull down fresh and had problems with it cancelling with the http error, then uninstalled and re-downloaded the auto updater with the same thing happening. Is there a way to force it to go to the new location to pull down the files from?

still not working for me after i deleted all the files. its geting an error on window pieces files for group members and start button.

now i have no thor UI. do we have to change where it downloads from ourselves?

1.) Don't uninstall ThorUI AU application. There is nothing wrong with the application and doing so will only cause more issues.
2.) Be patient, I switched domains and there appears to be an issue with the directory backup. I will get it fixed but it will take some time.

Update:
The domain webhost has identified the issue and they are confident they will have a resolution very soon.

I'll keep you updated...

First I'd like to say thank you...7+years of a multitude of MMOs and you have the best interface mod ever. Now that I have sufficiently ares-kissed :eek:
My girlfriend and I are still having this error in the AU come up on both of our computers

No, just keep reporting each issue and I'll relay them to my new webhost.
I usually takes them a day to get each request taken care of now that they know what the issue is. (Unrecognized MIME types)

I've asked them if they could set the default action for unrecognized MIME types to file download and why am I only having this issue with thier hosting?

Hopefully I'll get an answer soon.

They seem like an excellent webhost except for this issue.
Thier customer service is excellent and they have unlimited bandwidth which is what I need with all of you ThorUI AU users out there. :)

Looks like your host is having some issues again. AU or just simply trying to hit thorui.thorsparks.com in the browser, etc. comes back with a "Service Unavailable".

I just reinstalled the auto updater for thorui and i received this error

Getting same error
 

Every time I do the auto update, I get the "user cancelled request" message as well. I've un-installed and re-installed as well.

I recently moved to a new webhost that offers unlimited bandwidth (very much needed with all of the ThorUI users out there).

We had some minor issue with MIME file types and how they should be treated with the new webhost.

They assure me that all issues should now be resolved and appologize for any intteruption in service.

Please be aware that while the ThorUI AU is configured to be ran each time you wish to launch EQ2 and play the game (therefore ensuring you have the latest and greatest updates to any custom interface files) it is not required in order to play the game...

If you EVER experience an issue with the update site being down, simply launch the game via the EverQuestII game icon rather than using the ThorUI AU.
This will bypass the update process and allow you to play the game as normal.

If there is an issue with the ThorUI keeping you from playing EverQuestII simply delete the eq2.ini file in your everquest II directory then launch the game via the EverQuestII game icon. That will bypass using a user interface and allow you to play the game using the default user interface.
