Cant Play EQ2!!
 

I just bought EQ2 today and I cannot register. When I try to register my handle for the forums it says that an error has occured and try again. I went through this for over an hour before I gave up. Can someone help please?

Are you talking about the SOE forums?

And we need more info than simply "I can't play." Can you start it? Can you patch it? Do you have an account?

I guess I should have been more specific. It is after EQ2 asks for my log on. I use my log on for EQ and than it asks me to subscribe to EQ2 and register a handle for the forums and it keeps displaying an error message. I have yet to play the game because of this.

What is the error message it gives you?

Are you using the same handle as your EQ account handle? Its possible its trying to add a new handle on top of the old or wont accept anything except the handle you originally used.

I had the same problem when I switched from EQ to EQ2. You might have to give it a day for the Sony logon servers to sort out your user names and scheme. My problem was Internet Explorer. It was causing the error and keeping something in the page files (memory buffers). I hand to close IE restart it clear the history and temp files to clear up the problem.
