Flashing quest available/complete icons no longer showing.
 

Topic. Im running in Vista, if that matters. I have this option checked in in-game options, and i turned the huge green dots off (guess icons for NPC -> npc) from the filter because i thought they were on top of the quest icons.

Any ideas?

i have this issue as well, however, no icons are disabled.

Unless you use fetish by Zonx you can try to delete all skinnable files in your Everquest2/UI/*CUSTOM*/eq2map2 folder and then rerun the updater.

at least the OP doesn't appear to have EQ2MAP installed anyway, at least I don't remember that we have green dots, do we?

I have the same problem...the "flashing" quest feathers and quest completion books no longer flash. Ideas?

Yeah i am having the same problem no more flashing feathers or books for quest? I am running Xp service pack3 and using Profit UI (latest Version with auto Updater). Any ideas as to why this has happened and is there a fix for this. Also i have read the above post.

Deleting the skinnable files and running the updater fixed this for me tyvm.

I use ThorUI not ProfitUI... but had the same issue...

- went into EQ2Map options.. and did a full file download - problem fixed.

I dont think its related to a specific UI. I have been playing with 3 or 4 different UIs the last few weeks and had done fresh installs of eq2maps for each and had the same problem with at least 2 of them.

In case you used the manual install it doesn't have the flashy icons update yet I think but they should show regardless. Someone (...) will need to update it. ;)

Otherwise a fresh (clean) install from the updater should always be .. well.. up to date.

My flashy icons did work, now they dont. Did a complete new download and still nada, any ideas.

Did you download the updater or a Dowload all from Options ?

I uninstalled the updater and re-downloaded it and it still does not work. I re-downloaded from the website after doing an un-install.

update, I uninstalled EQ2 maps, reinstalled them and it still did not work, so I went to options after that and did an update and now they are working again fine. Thank you
