EQ2Map Updater Download Problem
 

Forgive me if I have overlooked a previous link to this issue. I can't for the life of me figure out what to do next and need serious help!

Everytime I click on the download icon for either the EQ2 Map Updater or Landin's Manual updater it opens the file in Microsoft picture viewer regardless of hitting open or save and it always comes up as an image.

This is what I have done so far in an attempt to remedy the problem:

Installed the lates windows updates for Vista.
Instzalled the latest internet explorer version (IE8).
Disabled pop-up blockers.
Disabled virus scans.
Disabled firewall.
Lowered security settings in IE to medium, then to low, then custom and made sure cookies were allowed.
Updated all drivers to the latest verion.

After all of this I still can't get anything from the dowload but a defunct picture.

Any help would be appreciated.

If the file is about 800kb you could try to rename it to .zip and try to unzip it.

Do you get the same thing when you try to open this link?

Thank you for the suggestions. When I tried the link you posted under your text I got a wordpad with text. I will try renaming it to zip and try unzipping.
