Live Update 17

Live Update 17 has been released and with this update brings some interface changes. Two of the largest changes are the addition of version tags to each window and you can now resize the icons in your hotbar.

A compare of the xml for LU17 can be found in the EQII Interface Changes forum here.

A new version of the UIBuilder that is compatable with LU17 is now available.

The version tags allow for better version tracking so if/when SOE releases a large update to a specific window the game will not load the custom window if its too old and will automatically load the default so the client doesn’t crash. The following explains the version addition in more detail.

/window_version <Module> <Name> will return the current version of the specified UI window. There is also now a new interface property that give detailed version information on UI windows: version="<major>.<minor>.<revision>". If the major number does not match, the window will not be displayed (e.g. if the window version in-game is 2.0.0, but your mod's version is 1.0.0, it will not display). If the minor version number does not match, some functionality may not work correctly, but the window will still be displayed. If the revision version number does not match, there was a cosmetic change to the window. There is a new interface properly for modder attribution and commentary that is displayed in /window_version: version_note="<text>"
