A Night Vision Button

I seen this button on different mods but can it be made like solo as far as I seen it is only in the start menu mods with other buttons. I guess what i am asking is can it be made in a stand alone mod where I can just make a hot key to activate the night vision feature lets say?

As far as I know you would have to make a UI window(even if it is not visible) and then make a macro(which you bind a key to) to toggle it.

So with that said it is possible.

This is the current ProfitUI Nightvision, just put that in an ingame macro and you are good to go:
/r_flat_ambient true
/r_min_dir_ambient_intensity 0.8
To go back to "normal" vision ProfitUI currently uses this:
/r_flat_ambient false
/r_min_dir_ambient_intensity 0.3
There you go, you now have nightvision without any mods. ;)

two macros?

would you then need two macros to run this one to turn it on and the other to turn it off or is there a way to get a macro to toggle?

With pure ingame macros you need two macro buttons. Custom interface windows only need one button.

PS: I'll allow the thread necro on this one because it somewhat makes sense here, but please stop doing it otherwise, now going to delete your others... Responding to someone who posted a year ago rarely still helps them.

Hey Landiin, you really need to start modding again, it's more productive than trying to troll me all week. Just saying. ;)
