Commonlands POI question
 

Am I missing something, or did all the commonlands POI's get missed when converting over to the POI database and updater.

Back when this mod was being released by hand, Both commonlands had many POIs, but now they are void of them.

Did they get missed, overlooked, excluded, or is there something wrong with them?

There are at least a couple of maps with this problem. Hopefully, it will be sorted out soon.

What actually happened to them is that they were in the original releases. But since we converted to the auto updater, only the POIs in the database are in the maps now. You can probably deduce that these old commonlands POIs are not in the database on the site as of now. We tried our best to get in all that we could from the old mod, and are still working on it though without much effort as we have more critical points of the mod to attend to.

the commandlands pois were not imported because they had no "in game location" since its an overlay so if they were imported there would be no location for any of them.

I need to start taking notes and submitting them but several POI's from auto-updating are way off target or in german (not that I mind but uniformity is gut)... I will start but wanted to give a heads up. Mainly in TS and a couple in Antonica...

I have taken it upon myself to try and populate the Antotica and Commonlands Maps with the PoI's from Pre-Updater Maps for those zones. Thanks to everyone's help I think Antotica is almost finished, and to the point that most of the PoI's in the Pre-Updater versions have been re-entered. I hope to start the Commonlands soon, I am doing this with my Level 34 Templar so everything that might get in my way in entering the PoI's is normally Grey to me anyways. Running from Point to Point is unfortunately time comsuming, and I am doing this when I can. I am hoping to have the site maps caught up to where the Pre-Updater maps were prior to release of the Official Version of the Updater with the EQ2Map mod.

On the note of german POIs...
If you see one, please go to the website and punch in the UID of it and submit a comment and check it off as a bad POI. It will be deleted. Sorry to all the Germans but we english speaking folk just dont know what the hell they say :/

Yah know, it probably wouldn't be much extra effort to regionalize the POIs. Just include a few extra fields in the DB and a language checkbox on the updater. DB would then spit out a version of the POIs with tooltip matching the Updater's selected language.

I should have the Antonica PoI's finished today, and hope to have all of the Commonlands PoI's finished by Mid Week.

Wow didn't even dawn on me that the PoI text is localized in International Languages :(.

Antonica East and West are finished. All PoI's that were on the EQ2MAP download are now on the site. Now moving over to the Commonlands to get those in. If I can not find or verify mobs/npcs/locs that are on the Map currently (the map you get with the download without running the updater) I am not going to include them on the PoI's for the site, I will make note of them and go back and check again after I get all the other PoI's in.

Commonlands East and West are finished. Put in as many of the POI's as I could locate.
