All mods disabled by this morning's update.
Hello everyone,
When I logged in after server maintainance today, I was dismayed to find all of my interface mods disabled. All had been working fine last night and even this morning for the few minutes I was on prior to the servers going down. My eq2.ini file is intact and unaltered. My mods are intact and residing in the proper folder. When I log any of my characters into eq2, no mods are present. I was using a fair amount of mods (map, bags, hotbar, target/group windows, maintained windows, etc). All worked fine prior to server maint. this morning. Is anyone experiencing a similar problem? Any hints or tips on other things I could check? Thanks for the help :) |
yea i had the same problem but all my chars were facing baward and i couldn't do anything wile in slect char mode.

Yes, this crap happened to me too. I already ranted on the main eq2 boards in the ui section. I LOVE this crap...makes my money seem so well invested. whatever I am not going to start again, I said my piece already.

There was a line: <include>eq2ui_newcharscene.xml</include> However, the default one had changed (after the last main update) to: <include>eq2ui_newcharscene2.xml</include> So I updated my custom one accordingly and then my char was not facing backwards and all was well (I could delete/create/select chars again). Hope that helps... |
woo! :nana:
Changing that line to add the '2' in eq2ui.xml did the trick for me. Thanks for the tip! |

odd that this happened to you today rather than on release day...

I think it had something to do with the character screen fix that went in this morning. I am guessing the old xml calling the old charatcer select caused that problem, so they added code for the game to discard any custom eq2i.xml files that did not include the new command line. This would also cause all mods to be disabled in the process.

had the same thing started after todays update. adding the 2 also was needed for me.Thorui and fetish maps are 2 mods i know as of last night that werent updated with the "2" all seems fine now... Silly little 2 gave me headache

Where is the file with the line I hve to change? I have the same problem but I don't have a file called eq2ui in my custom folder. I can see the line in that file in the default folder with the 2 in it, but I can't find another eq2ui.xml file to change.
**On re-reading this fix is for char problems. My chars are all loading fine, but my mods (including map) aren't working. Does anyone know how to fix this? |
Gah, I am having the same problem. I looked at the UI in my mod folder and it does include the custom -2- line.... yet none of my mods will load
|
I am seeing this in my UI.LOG:

I'm having the same trouble with all modifications not working. My character select is fine and I did make sure that my eq2ui.xml files had the 2 in that line. I have similar output in my log that the previous poster has. Anyone have any ideas how to get the mods to work again?
I've tried reinstalling all mods and a full file scan from eq2 and nothing is working.... |
Wow no one can figure this one out either...
