ProfitUI first or EQ2map?
 

hi guys!

just had to install a new PC, and new Everquest 2.
Last time I installed ProfitUI, and then EQ2map into it. worked allright, but had to update each individually.

Is that the standard procedure, or is it better to first install EQ2map and then ProfitUI, and why.

Always install your base UI (in this case, ProfitUI) first and then run the EQ2MAP updater to update your maps.

Since you asked why, here's a bit more explanation...

You want to install your new UI first because EQ2Maps checks to see if it should install in the default UI directory or in a custom one. You'll see the UI name in a box in EQ2Maps' Settings dialog.

Regardless of what UI you use, EQ2Maps is independent, so you have to update it separately from updating the UI.
