Quib, Awesome mod to the Map Window. It should be noted it not only hides the Custom POI's but also hides the Default In Game ones too.

An interestng thought on this would be to maybe make a mod of this to use the same type of buttons that are on the World and Current City maps where there is an Hide Overlay Button.
