Updater and new Java update
 

Today I loaded in the new Java update (update 51) and now I can't get the Drums updater to work. It gives an error window and says something about "This application will be blocked in a future Java security update because the JAR file manifest does not contain the Permissions attribute. Please contact the Publisher for more information." then even when I click that it's OK to run, it then says that it's unable to run. I see that you've talked with the guy who makes the Profit updater about making a new one for you too to combat this, I just wasn't sure if that had been done and where we can get the new one if it has been done.

I get the following error after the java update.

I had problems before updating to Java 51, but updated it thinking it might fix the problem, but it didn't. I am getting the error messg. " Unable to launch the application".

Was trying to update the UI because of the recent merc button changes.

I went to the security settings of the java app and it let me log in. However there still was no update for the merc window

New updater incoming within then next 12-24 hours. Details will be posted.

It is well worth the wait!

I have quite a lot of updates for this patch, and that's why I'm a little behind. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait for what it's worth :)

I gotta get the New patcher update setup with it once I'm finished these last few things. Ran into issues last night (with my code) that I'm sorting out.

Working out kinks with new Updater! Kaldran is doing all the legwork, so props to Kaldran.

As soon as everything is good to go, I'll upload it and post.

For now, anyone that really needs file, will have to grab the Manual download. Promise i'll have a ton of things updated once things go live again :D

I just wanted to say thank you for your mod as well :-)
I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and I love love love the maintained spell monitor window.
I am very glad you are fixing this java error. I tried the work around and could not get it to work at all.
It will be wonderful to have the mod back and working again. I really miss it!

Drums UI not working
 

Hi..Hope this is right place. Drums is no longer working on my PC. I get this following error. I do not believe it's related to the last issue I had with it but when I launced to check for an update this is what shows up:

Unable to launch application

then the following is listed under the details tab:

CouldNotLoadArgumentException[Could not load file/URL specified: http://updater.pala.de/drumsui.jnlp]

then a whole bunch of at.com things that all have (Unknown resource) tapped at the end.

then another tab that is labeled Wrapped Exception:

java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://updater.pala.de/drumsui.jnlp at sun.net.http://www.protocol.http.HttpURLConn...(UnknownSource)

and on and on

It has really become quite annoying. I appreciate all of the hard work for the DrumsUI but this is a bit much. I know nothing is infallible but I would really just like to launch, update, play. :) Help please!

Can we install this new updater over the old, or do we need to do a complete uninstall first?

You don't have to do anything with the old one (though it will no longer function correctly). You can either just remove the shortcut, or do this:

The new Updater simply installs to the Control Panel.
