Help - New to DrumsUI, New Computer
 

I have been away from the game for a while. I used Profit when I played before, but my friend who convinced me to come back says that Drums is the way to go.

We downloaded the Full Version and the Updater, however when activated, it gives an error message "Everquest2.exe not found"

I guess I know what it means, I am just not skilled enough to know how to fix it. I just bought a new computer in order to play, and when I downloaded the game, it downloaded in a "Users" directory, and Drums cant find it. C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\EverQuest II

How do I move the game out of the "Users" directory or redirect the updater to find Everquest2.

Or perhaps there is another issue?

Easiest would be redirect the Updater to your folder.

Open it up, and goto Settings in the top left, and select File Paths.

The first top-right Choose button is what you want. Navigate to your EverQuest II folder and click "Choose" in the popup.

I have been using drumsui for a long time.
It is telling me that everquest2.exe not found set file path first.
Well when I go to set the file path, which is users > public > something tv > sony online entertainment > everquest 2 it does not work.

It just stays blank and repeats the error.
Please help as I do love your ui.
I know how to set the file path it just wont allow it.
I played with this ui a few days ago and it worked fine then.
Today 11/30/12 is the first day I have gotten this error message.

Hm, not too sure. Are you running the Updater as administrator?

Can you manually goto your EQ2 installation folder via Windows Explorer and verify your EverQuest2.exe is stilll there?

Do you have a EverQuest 2 shortcut on your desktop? If you right click it and hit properites, where does the "Target" field point to?

What about for those of use using certain elements of Drums UI? I get an error message when I login that my UI isn't compatible and my tooltips don't work anymore. When I look at the ui.log in the eq2 folder this is what I get:

Yeah, for some reason it cuts off right there...

I haven't had a chance to update my manual version and all the individual downloads yet (since I need to do them all at once).

That error log is just files that are trying to be included from the includes file, but don't exist. No problems with that. Is usual.

Will try to get manual uploads updated. I'm a busy guy this past week after being away for a month.

Well, I did more searching and it turns out that it's the examine.xml file. I removed that from my custom UI folder and tooltips work again. However, I like the custom examine.xml as it opened websites to the item being examined, nice. So... if you fix that first I would be a happy camper, lol!

You can grab individual files from the auto-updater's online folder:
http://advancedmod.com/DrumsUI/live/UI/DrumsUI/

Just right-click the file you need and click "Save As" or whatever option you have in your browser, into your UI folder.
