Since Profit has long since died..

Who will be the brave one to step up and maintain it?

I have tried all the 'profit maintained'... but alas, they are not 'maintained' any more.

Huh? What are you talking about? ProfitUI is being maintained and works correctly with the latest changes to EQII. The latest updates were delivered by the patcher on 19 August. More help is always welcome, but the work is getting done.

Check that you have the option to keep all main HUD windows is enabled. Then go to your controls, window keys, find the hotkey for toggling the chat window (set one if it's not already set) and try toggling the chat window. It's possible you closed it at some point and just need to re-open it.
