Updater Java exception
I'm getting this exception thrown by the updater when it starts. It doesn't prevent the updater from starting and doesn't seem to cause any errors, it's just annoying. Is anyone else seeing this? I'd like to confirm whether it's just me or a more wide-spread problem.
Exception thrown while getting location Code:
java.sql.SQLException: No data is available |
I don't get any errors when I run the updater. The problem you describe though is what I had a month ago.
The updater would start run and a box of errors shows and the updater would start a few seconds later and work fine. Like anytime the updater bugs out I uninstalled java and after registry cleaning installed again. Works fine every time after that. |
All Good Here
I deleted java 7, Profit Updater
Ran My registry cleaner Installed Java 6 Reinstalled Profit Updater Java automatically installed Java 7 and everything works fine so far. |
Running clean here on Java 1.6.0_37 32 bit and Win7 64 Pro.

Simply try this in the Updater:
Settings -> Updater -> Reset all settings Fixed it for me. |
awesomeness!
you completely rock, i've had this problem for nearly a week and tried everything on my own and then read this thread..resetting completely cleared this issue...wish i had read this sooner =)

I'll have to try that. I did recently reset the shortcuts after Java decided it couldn't find the program, but I'm still getting the exception.

I reset all settings and it looks like it cured the problem with the exception. I did have to re-select the EQ2 file path after the reset. I don't remember if that's expected.
In any event, the updater no longer generates the exception when launched. |
