Certificate Expired [but still valid]

Auto updater java certificate has expired when you run patcher

Same for me. The warning says I may not wish to trust the content. I'm hesitant to trust it beyond this point until an official note is made on whether its legit or not.

Sure it is legit, it just has expired. Actually to my opinion this should not throw an error at all, because the cert was valid at signing time, but well.....

As there currently is no service providing free code signing certificates you will see the error til I update the code. After that you will see errors about the certificate not being trusted, because it will be self signed ;)

confirming Kaldran is legit. :)

Kaldran I know that for example web.de is still providing free certs but since they are not a pre-installed root CA that won't help much... Once you moved to a self-signed cert send me the hash and I'll add it to the FAQ.

PS: Throwing a warning for expired certs very much makes sense. It's a more efficient way of phasing out certs without needing to add them all to revoke lists for all eternity.
