DrumUI - Chains of Eternity updates
 
Hey all,

Last I checked there weren't a lot of UI changes/additions in the upcoming expansion, but I shall try to get the UI up-to-date as I can.

I was highly affected by the recent hurricane on the East Coast/US, but hopefully things will be back to normal for me in a week or two.

Not a biggie, but is it your UI that provides the selection criteria for the broker dropdowns? If yes, could you add Ethereal to the list of fabled/legendary types?

Not like I can afford them, but fun to look...

I hope you don't live on Staten Island. I am in W. Maryland and I only lost power for 12 hours but I had friends who were buried under 2 feet of snow.

Yours is the only interface I use and have for YEARS. :-) More important to me is not your interface but you and everyone else that have been effected by the hurricane. My heart goes out to all of you.

Well hope you and all people affected by the hurricane are doing well and getting everything squared away. My thoughts go out to everyone. Now for my wanted addition to your ui can you add the Krono spot to your character window...not sure what it would be called but when i bought a couple i had to temporarily revert to default window for it.

Broker window
 
Something I would love to see in your interface if at all possible is the ability to do a broker search for all collectibles that I do not already have. Would be nice to see if I missed any collections without having to go thru 3000 pages. It is nice to see what is darkened out showing what I do not need but real pain to do all that with so many pages of collectibles.

Not possible unfortunately. Best you can do is search for specific ones from your collection tab for collections you have partials to.

I don't think there is a way without SOE adding it in. Far as I saw in the code, it's not in Default UI either.

The crafting window, recipes, and crafting tables cause the game to crash while using your UI. I really like your UI and its a pain having to switch back and forth to the default UI everyting I need to craft.

Patch again. If you're using Beta, simply delete the eq2ui_tradeskills.xml from the DrumsUI folder.

Is there something wrong with the tracking window? I can't seem to get a wisp to the tracked object. (I was getting them in the beta) Using DrumsUI Updater to keep it updated.

Well IMHO you need to take care of yourself, family and friends that have been affected by the storm first. I hope things go well for you. Thousands of peoples lives were affected dramatically by that storm and I wish them all the best.
I'm glad you do what you do for us with your UI, its awesome ! I play a Mystic and switching to your UI has made me a much more effective healer. I've been using your UI for about 2 years and I'm glad you made the updates to it that you have recently. Personally I dont mind waiting however longer it takes till you fix the few things that have changed.
I've done what I can to help the storm victims and if all anyone here can do to help is wait a little longer for the UI updates, then please do so.

Thanks Drumstix for all that you've done and I wish you and your family / friends all the best.

The tracking window does not work with the tracking prestige. I had to remove it from the UI to get the tracking prestige to work.

I know you have much going on in your world at the moment but I was curious if there might be an eta on the crafting window.

The default is fine but I much prefer the Drums version.

The checkbox for the tradeskill recipe hiding doesn't work.
All it does is remove the recipes and shifts the crafting to the left leaving a gaping void space on the right. You have this massive window hiding your view of the world.

Since the tooltip in the Drums UI is broken atm, I cannot use Drums Item Notes in the examine window - I hope there will come some kind of fix soon, because I'm missing my item notes really sadly :(

the tool tips to my knowledge was fixed update your eq2_examine.xml file to the newer version

Hi Drums:

Just a quick question. Warlocks have a prestige spell called Toxic Assault. This spell builds up charges to a max number of 180 which can be viewed in the the lower right corner of the Toxic Assault icon. However this number does not appear in the icon in the spell timer window. Is it possible to put that charges number in the icon within the spell timer window?

As you know icons tend to appear and disappear rapidly and never in the same place during raids making it difficult to focus on any one particular icon. The spell timer window is a perfect spot for the Toxic Assault icon since it will remain in the same position at all times for quick "at-a-glance" info.

Great interface and thanks for all the updates. When I came back to the game the last time I didn't feel like getting back into modding again, so it was nice to find almost every interface style I liked in DrumsUI.

I did notice 2 bugs today:
1) AA Window - After CoE reorganized the AA window I was pleased to see a nice indicator on the category buttons to indicate that I needed to select something in that category (I always forgot to select Character Development things until 2-3 levels after I got them). I'm using the Blue on Blue DrumsUI and today I don't have the green indicators on the category buttons on the AA window.

2) Tradeskill Window - the recipe list today is only showing 9 items and only taking up half of the verticle space. I tried resizing the window to see if that would get it to expand, but no matter what size I made the window, the recipe list remained the same.

EDIT: I checked and the DrumsUI Updater says all my files are up-to-date. I also exited the game completely and reloaded to see if reloading the interface would change anything, but both of the above effects remain.

#1 sounds like an outdated gfx file. Just yesterday I updated them.
#2 is a bug that was reported to me already, working on the fix.

I checked the updater and it says my files are up-to-date. Do you have a suggestion for which gfx file to wack to force a re-download?

I deleted the indicated file as well as the entire Alternates folder, then selected the Default colors to force a redownload. No matter which colors I select I do not get the green indicator.

Are you sure it's supposed to be showing up? Does it show up in default ui?

If you have spent all your available points they won't show up anymore. Also does Drums Actually modify the alternate advancement window? I know profit doesn't it just skins some of the elements.

HI Drumstix,

I'm new to EQ2 but have been playing VG for many years and managing a custom UI over there. I love your UI for the game but have one question. I can't seem to get all of the icons to display on the map within your UI. Specifically, I don't show all of the icons for vendors and for the exits to different zones. Is there a way I can incorprate the standard EQ2_Map2 into your UI or is there a function somewhere to show all of the things that show up on the default map?

Hope you have survived the hurricane and subsequent clean up in the NE.

Is there icons that are showing in the default UI and not in mine? I'm not really sure which ones you would be referring to. Most of the icons on the map are submitted by users via EQ2Map updater (which I don't include in my UI).
