EQ2 Map editor help
 

Hello everyone been along time since I ran the EQ2map or play EQ2 for that fact. My question is when I run it now it says: Failed to intialize properly click ok to quit it.

So my question is does anyone know what I should do? :confused:

Problem:
I have downloaded the EQ2map updater and installed it. But when I try to run it I get the following Error Message "The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000135). I uninstalled it and downloaded it again. It still does the same thing.

Solution:
You must have The Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 or greater for this program to run
The Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 can be downloaded either from this direct download link or if you prefer you can get it from windows update.

Thanks Laz makes since, I forgot I had to reinstall my Windows XP sometime ago. I'm just luck I backed up my drive lol. Thanks agian cheers!

I've been trying since Dec time frame to download the sucker and it hangs at 91%. I have all the .net frame loaded and installed and up to date and it won't fully download. I can download and use version 1; sure would be nice to upgrade.

Any ideas?

I instaled the map-updater but wont.....
 

I instaled the map updater but when i try to log in it says..... Login rejected:The Clients version does not match the Servers Please re-run the patcher..


how do i fix this

Hmm thats the game telling you to rerun the patcher not the map updater. Whens the last time you patched?

it patches by its self right?like when u log in to EQ should be an auto deal..i may be wrong but i had the map-updater on my old comp and it worked fine......

It only says that when i try to log in thru the map-updater if i log in with the EQ2 short cut it works fine just no map-updater.

Then you have the EQ2MAP updater pointed to the wrong everquest 2 file. Look in options and set the correct path and file name. Make it the same as what is in the short cut.

well i am not sure what i am doing wrong but i did that,maybe i didnt do it right i am thinking about uninstalling everything and starting over...this is lame
