Tooltip Problems
Im having problems with tooltips (the examine wndow that pops up when you hover over an item or skill) Im using pretty much all of DrumsUI components, Soris player window and eq2maps. This is the error messages i get in the UI file in the default directory of eq2. any help would be appreciated, its driving me nuts having to examine each item lol

Are tooltips not popping up at all, I take it? They're hardcoded into the game, but there are some settings in the options that control whether they appear and how quickly they appear -- have you checked those?

I get the UI Error that its an out of date mod or whatever it is. Like ill hover over an item and the UI will pop up the message that its not compadable or something with the new UI Changes. Im not sure which mod even messes with the Tooltip to cause this in the first place, i thought it may be the examine window so i took it out and it kept doing it. The error is
You are using a UI Mod that is not compatible with recent changes to the tooltip system. Please upgrade your UI mod to a compatible version or revert to the default UI. None of the mods i downloaded should mess with the tooltips except maybe the examine window but it seems to do this wether i install the examine window or not. |
List the mods (preferably with links to their descriptions on here) that you are using. That error popping up is what is causing you to not get tooltips, heh.

The DrumsUI Examine windows jump right out to me, since they haven't been updated for GU50 (TSO), so those might be the issue.
The easy way to find out which one is doing it is to start by installing just one of those UI pieces and then keep installing one by one until the tooltips stop working. |
I know its not the examine one, ive tried with and without it. Ill go through and try them one at a time like you suggested :)

I'll just point to the red line in my sig. Your first post shows that you have leftovers of other mods.

Its not left overs though, i had just reformated and installed eq2, then put the parts in. But im gonna go through singleing out the mod that does it.\
After going through them all i found it. GenivasProfitMaintainedSuperSlim http://www.eq2interface.com/download...fo.php?id=3971 Thats the one thats messing it up because it requires a font change with the font file, I love it cause it makes them small, but i want tooltips lol. |
