Chat Jumping problem

I just installed Nightfall Fetish (and reinstalled it about 4 times), and continue to have a small problem I was hoping for help with.

Whenever I hit enter and start typing, the chat cursor is literally overlapping the most recent chat. In other words, it's about 1/2 a centimeter higher than it should be - so that I can barely read my text, because its literally on top of other text.

Something odd I've noticed is that whenever I mouse over the chat box - all the text jumps up, making room for me to chat. In other words, if my mouse is positioned over the chat box - I can see just fine, but if it's anywhere else - I cannot.

I've played with every window and chat setting I can find, and reset both opacities and positions multiple times - to no success.

Any help would be appreciated - this mod looks great.

If it's any consequence, I run the game (not well) at 1920x1200.

Thanks,
Sine

Sounds like you need to change the style of chat window. There are two that comes with Fetish Nightfall. Seems the one with input stealthing is currently the default (see this question quite often, maybe that should change ;) ).

To change this, find eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml in your Fetish directory, rename it to _stealth_eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml.

Then find _simple_eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml in same directory, and rename it to eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml.

Or you can do like me and use this nifty little program to do it for you. :nana:

Hope this helps.
