Could we get a mentored level indication please?

Like Profit has, that shows a person's mentored and real level.
This is useful on PvP servers. Right now when I use DrumsUI, all I see is a non-aggro player and guess they are mentored by that state, but unknown just how much mentored they are.

Drum's stuff shows people's real level as opposed to their effective level, that's the "problem". It's the level you'd see upon inspecting the player. If the target player is roleplaying, it won't show his effective level at all, but the real level will still show. There's too many conditions involved IMHO to get a unified display without lag-inducing amounts of scripting. But maybe Drums knows better :)

No UIscript is necessary for displaying the level. ;) It's probably just a design choice depending on how Drum's window is laid out but I cannot speak for him.

Aye, I know that you can just link to the right dynamic data and have it show up, but my point was displaying one or another depending on the situation.

Ah, fair enough. One of the dynamic data objects actually changes automatically, however, so it could still be done without scripting (it shows mentoredLevel (actualLevel) or otherwise just actualLevel, that's the one that was displayed in my UI).

Doesn't that same dynamic data channel also show nothing if the target is roleplaying or anonymous?

gm9 06-16-2010 09:24 AM

No, it always shows the level. It even shows the level for NPCs that otherwise don't display one. ;)

You've been retired for ages and you're still teaching us stuff :o :p

So it can be done, but just needs to be added.
BTW you can not hide your level on a PVP server when targeting a player. You can hide your class from being displayed explicitly, but people can still look at self buffs.

My target implied windows already have it, but it's being chopped off due to formatting. I'll change it to show fully when I change their style. Don't really need that "L:" there.
