Proof of Concept: Rosetta Translation window

Ugh I am not looking forward to adding all the languages to this thing.

I need to: add a tab for each language, set the tab name, target, and title, add a page for each tab, paste in the two volume pages, set the textstyle to the exact right font filename and name, and finally proofread.

Anyone want to help?

Fun idea but other languages aren't just converted to a different font. Perhaps you've already solved this problem and rearranged the letters?

To see what I mean:

go to \ui\fonts
after the patcher runs, but before you enter the game make a copy of zcal801b.ttf ...
delete a language you don't know (say DARKELF_.TTF)
rename your copy of zcal801b.ttf to DARKELF_.TTF
run the game
talk to a dark elf ... it'll be in Roman characters, but still unreadable.

This is not designed to help with conversations, its for architectural translation.

That Sir is very cool.

I have always thought that the way the devs added the languages was very cool. Often times for guild banners or player signatures, etc.. I have used the fonts from ingame. The only downside, I don't think many people realize that they are actually real EQ2 fonts and not just some random looking something I downloaded off the web. *lol*
