Please bring back from the old map
 

Please add these to the new map:: Old map, world, had colored lines that showed how to get to areas, (By boat, bell etc). Also bring back the PVP Lvl range for the area you're in.:(

I'd think by now the transportation connection lines would be an unintelligible tangle. When they were created there were only a few bells connecting world zones. Today the TS and Nek docks have 6 bells each, and there's a bunch more bells in new zones that weren't there originally. There's the druid rings (9 of them) and teleport spires (6 for KoS access, 2 of which can be teleported to by players, plus 3 more teleport-only spires). There's twice as many boat connections now too. We've a lot more world transport options now, and the connection overlay was starting to become unreadable even before the latest updates and expansion added more options.

Agreed on the world zone connection overlay, it just doesn't work well anymore. I made an updated version before TSO came out (which was never made available though) and that was pretty busy already. Now TSO connections would need to be added. We never had rings, spires and most teleports on it though, would become completely unreadable in that case.

Therefore we thought about adding separate connection overlays to each of the continent maps. It's difficult to make these look good and useful though (because it's still a lot of connections even per continent and because you cannot draw the destination so you'd need to put a text label or something). Ideas or even better finished overlay graphics are welcome. :)

How about icons on the map showing where ships/bells/teleports/rings are and then tooltips that list all the places you can travel from there?

The icons are allready in game, for tooltip all you need to do is edit them at maps.eq2interface.com
