UI Directory...

Ok so I had DrumsUI installed, and got EQ2Maps installed and working. After having some issues with DUI I decided I did not want it. So I uninstalled DUI and EQ2Maps. Reinstalled EQ2 Maps only to find that it keeps auto-making a new folder called DrumsUI.

When I go to the options to change the default UI DrumsUI is the only one showing up.

Why?

In EQ2Map click the options button and under "UI Directory" what do you have selected?

DrumsUI, but its the ONLY option. There is default, default blue or a blank for none.

Ok then DrumsUI modified your eq2.ini file which is normal and fine.

eq2.ini is located in your EverQuest II folder and can be opened with notepad. You can either remove the entry for DrumsUI or you can change it to EQ2MAPS. What ever name is on that line where DrumsUI is currently is what EQ2MAP will use to install or if the entire line is removed EQ2MAP will make one for it self. :)

Trying not to mess anything up, you are referring to where it says…
cl_ui_skinname [name]

yes?

It should say cl_ui_skinname DrumsUI right? Change it to cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP

Ok and all the UIs will read it as is? I tend to change my UIs often lol, have yet to find one that I actually like to stay with longer then a month or two.

There can only be 1 UI directory, its not like WoW where each AddOn can have its own folder. In EQ2 everything has to be put into 1 custom UI directory. So if you make EQ2MAP your new custom UI folder you'll need to install any other interface into that same EQ2MAP folder.
