Xndienx's G15 Mod

Released March 19, 2008

Page 1 (Main page/first thing you see): Character Name/Guild instead of EverQuest II and Sony Online Entertainment
Page 2/3: Unchanged (Network Stats/XP Bars)
Page 4: Guild Xp, Personal status, Personal status
Page 5: Old Page 4 (stats)
Page 6: Resists
Page 7: Old Page 5 (Group)
Page 8: Weapon damage spreads and delays
Page 9: Caster/Healer goodness
Page 10: Melee/Ranged Goodness
Page 11: Earth and Norrath time with Zone Name
Page 12: Earth and Norrath time with Region Name
(Version 3) Page 13: Pet Name, HP, Power
(Version 3) Page 14: Target Name, HP, Power
(Version 3) Page 15: Self/Pet/Target HP/Power
(optional Maintained version)
Page 16-45: Maintained Spell Information: Name of the spell, Target, Duration, and Remaining ward/charges/whatever comes out of the remaining dynamicdata )

Comments, Questions, Requests, and Constructive Criticism are welcomed, as this is my first mod

Version 3.0 Added 3 new pages (see above)

Version 2.0a: Added a G15 Profile file for EQ2. Right click this file and click import to import it into your keyboard profiler.

There's also a .pdf that shows the key mapping that i used.

These files are in the G15_Profile folder

Version 2.0: Changed the heading of the time page to be the zone or region name, depending on which page you choose. If you choose the region page, it doesnt show the zone name if you aren't in a region of a zone that pops up on your screen :/

I use ProfitUI so i can confirm that it does work with it.

Pull one of the eq2ui_mainhud_g15.xml files out of the folders, and drop them into your ProfitUI folder.

Since Profit doesn't have a custom G15 mod, it shouldn't get overwritten by the auto-updater.

Edit: you may also want to update your G15 drivers if you haven't since the end of December

Im using extreme ui and just got a g15, I cannot seem to get the correct stats to show up on the LCD, just says 1000 str etc... saw your mod and extracted it to my extreme ui folder, and brought the eq2ui_mainhud_g15.xml file from default to extreme ui folder..but still nothing

did you pull the eq2ui_mainhud_g15.xml file out of one of the folders and drop it into your custom UI folder? thats all you need to do.

If you put it in the Default folder the patcher will overwrite it every time.

installing
haven't been able to play with this as I installed it and so far it's not working. I know something isn't right but not sure exactly what I haven't done.

It works with the older one as long as you update your drivers.

It should work with the newer one as well.

Which one you should get depends on whether you want more hotkeys and the color of the backlight.

Also, i believe the older one has been discontinued although i 'm not 100% sure.

Logitech G15
Does this work with both Logitech G15s?
The older G15 (that looks like a G11 with an LCD) has 3 banks of 6 hotkeys on the the left side and the new G15 has 3 banks of 2. Which should I get btw?

You need to make sure you have a file called eq2.ini in your everquest 2 directory and a custom UI folder.

This is what i used to use in my eq2.ini before i used ProfitUI:

Code:
cl_ui_skinname CustomUI
cl_ui_subdir UI/
then in the UI folder make a folder called CustomUI, and drop all your pieces there, including this one.

Yeah was suggesting Zone at top where Time and Date words are right now.
