RickF7666 Stats Page

Description
This is my biggest effort yet. This took the better part of a week to get right. I was using Ariobeth's persona window, but I was never completely happy with the way the Stats page was organized. So when LU29 broke it I decided to take a crack at making my own.

The three pics show where most of my effort was concentrated. If you like it great, if not feel free to change what you want. Just be warned if you use the UI Builder from this site, like I did, it changes more than you might think. The biggest change, which breaks the persona window is this line.

<TabbedPane ActiveTab="0" DataSource="MainPage.TabSource" Location="5,37" Name="TabPane" PackLocation="left,top" PackLocationProp="0005/0001,0037/0001" PackSize="absolute,fixed" PackSizeProp="0020/0001,0002/0003" ScrollExtent="355,32" Size="355,32" Style="/WindowElements.WindowFrame.data.tab_data.tabbed_pane_style" TargetPage="MainPage.TabPages"/>

It adds a "/" before the "MainPage.TabSource" and "MainPage.TabPages". This is the third line in the xml code. It took me a few days to find. It is a very small change with a big effect.

1.2

I've made a few changes the most obvious is I changed the color of several of the labels per request. And adjusted the spacing on a few things.

I didn't like the fact that my guild's name was being chopped off so moved things around a bit to give guild name two lines. I think it should show most guild names now.

One thing I changed was something I'm a little surprised that someone didn't call me on. Character Class and Tradeskill class were showing incorrect information. It turns out I was calling the wrong gamedata.

1.3

The big things I did was to add the Class picture into the background and beneath that the picture for the Deity. If you don't have a Deity then there is no picture.

And of course I shifted a few windows around. Nothing big. Basically just fiddling with it.

If anyone wants this window without the pictures just let me know and I'll post a plain version. But I think it really looks cool with the pictures.

1.31

Per request I changed the default Guild Name to "No Guild" instead of my guild the Forsaken Knights. I could have just left it blank, but I thought that it looked kind of weird having a experience bar with no title. I also set the guild default level to "0"

1.4

Well I'm back. I have made several changes to the Stats page. Including giving the Experience bars room for three digits. I also included the Ranged Double Attack Percent stat. So a few things had to be moved around.
Of course if there are any "features" (read bugs) let me know.

1.5

The main change is the addition of the Legends of Norrath Challenges decline option. The other thing I did was just cause I liked it. You can set a picture of your home city in the background of the Details page. There is a combo box, so just choose your city and the picture will appear. The default is none.

2.0
Well I'm finally done. I recreated my Persona window from scratch, based off of the new Persona window that SOE created. So take a look at it and let me know what you think. I tried to incorporate as much flexibility as I could. Now I can't be all things to all people, but hopefully I've come as close as possible. The new window has all the features of my old window and several more, but if I forgot something, please let me know.

Oh, and I've included several graphics files in the images folder. You don't have to use these, they are one of ProfitUI's skinpaks. I didn't add any custom graphics to the UI so if you prefer something else, well by all means don't let me stop you. I've included them because they are what I was using when I took the screen shots. And thanks gm9 for the all your work.

2.1
I've added the various Damage from Gear stats to the Stats Page. Most everything else I changed had to do with spacing and the way it looks. I kind of grew to hate the split in the middle of my class picture. I also didn't like the red for the Guild experience bar, so now it's yellow.

This is just the first piece of mine that I'm posting, but I have reworked most every piece I have ever done. I will be posting those soon, including a much requested Group window. Still trying to work the kinks out of that one.

2.11
This is a very minor update. The only thing I've changed is adding the check box for show Bow. So if you really need that feature, well here you go.

2.12
And yet another minor update. I added the new decline voice chat check box.

2.2
Well with this latest update of Everquest 2 they added 25 new items to the gamedata file. 25??? And yet no Riposte or Home City. Shrug. Maybe one of these days. Well 20 of the new items are additional information on the defenses, so if you click on the Mitigation label it will change to the Damage Reduction stats. There are two columns the first is the percent and the second is the number. Now this information is available in the mitigation tooltip, but that only lets you see one at a time. As for why the middle column doesn't show a percent sign next to the number I have no idea. Maybe they'll fix it later. I also changed the label for Block to Shield Block because they made it clear in the gamedata file that the Block was only for Shields. As for the last five new stats they were added to the Melee combat section. I also changed the order of the drop down list to put All Stats at the top. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think most people would want to see all the data.

2.3
Okay, they supposedly changed the gamedata for home location to include the address as well as the city zone. Although, you couldn't prove it by me, none of my characters show the addresses for their rooms, just the city zone. Shrug. I gave it the room to display the additional information so hopefully it works. I also changed a few minor visual things, nothing worth mentioning.

2.4
With this latest update they changed their Persona screens so the tool tip on the various stats also show up when pointing at the label. So I made that change too. I also made a few very minor changes to try shrink the xml code down a bit.

The image file now only has one file in it. I have been using VanGurK's skin and loving it, but there was one minor thing when it came to the Persona screen where the shadow for the progress bars was a bit to dark and made it look like the graphic was off a bit. So the image file is only for those with VanGurK's skin and only replaces one of his files and only to lighten the shadow.

2.5
There are a few changes to my Persona screen. I added the Hide Achievements and the Back Gear drop down on the Options page. I removed the Attack stat that was removed from the gamedata file on the Stats page, so I had to move a few things around. One of the changes in the default Persona screen moved the character name above the tabs. This is actually something I've wanted to do from the beginning but didn't because I kept running into road blocks that, at the time, I didn't know how to deal with. So I thought, heck if they can change it so can I.

The last change is that there is a new custom file I've included that will set the home city graphic on the details page. To get it to work you have to add the new file eq2ui_custom_pervar.xml to the eq2ui_custom.xml file. The line is:

<include>eq2ui_custom_pervar.xml</include>

That is all you have to do. Now when you select the home city it will remember it for each character.

2.6 - 2010.02.28
Well it looks like they made a bunch of changes to the gamedata file. So this reflects those changes. You will more than likely notice that there are three stats that do not appear to be working. Deflection, Defense and Ranged Double Attack are in the gamedata file, and while they do not appear to work at this time, I included them to be thorough. If they decide to remove these stats I will of course up date the Persona screen.

All I have to say is wow...

You went and updated the two things I missed the most (to the point that it hurt playing the game): 6 column bags, and this sucker.

Display Cloak Heraldy not working

The option to toggle between your guild's heraldy and the default graphic for each cloak is not working.

Mine didn't work before I used this mod. Are you able to change it if this is turned off?

Just saying, it might be a different issue outside of this UI. I was (and still am) having a problem with the default persona window. It somehow might be linked to an issue in another file someplace.

*EDIT*

Aha! Found my problem... dynamic data was missing in my eq2ui_gamedata file. I went through it line for line, and there was nothing in there that wasn't in the latest version. Complete swap and whammo, working again.

Do you even need to include the gamedate file any longer? The updated version of Ariobeth's doesn't require it like it used to.

Game data file

I didn't include the game data file. As far as I know you never needed it in the first place. But considering the first mod I ever did was with LU29, what do I know.

Ah, I didn't check whether or not it was included. I assumed, wrongly of course, that by the comment below me that it was included.

Kaisoku,

Do you have a eq2_gamedate.xml file inside your custom ui folder? If so was this the file you were talking about having the error? Lastly, out of curiosity, what mod are you using it for?

Removed eq2ui_gamedata.xml and it is no longer "Sticking", might wanna keep onto the file incase (rename it or whatever) but once that xml file was out, worked PERFECT

Class vs Subclass on the display.

Hello,

I love having all the stats at my fingertips. You did a great job with this format. I was just wondering if you chose to have the xp bars display classes instead of subclasses on purpose? For instance, when I open up my persona window, I see Brawler and Scholar instead of Monk and Jeweler. If this is intended, I'll deal, but I think you probably meant it to display subclasses since the old classes technically don't even exist anymore.

Thanks again for the great interface piece

I was working on the update and just posted it, but didn't see your comment. And the class thing was a mistake on my part. Being new to this entire mod thing I'm still figuring things out.

Hey, great mod but i found a little bug that i hope you can reproduce.

I opened the persona window and went to the options screen, and saw that if i pushed the space bar the drop down menu in that windows opens up. i don't know if this is intentional or not but i just thought i would let you know
