Target and Implied Target

Description

Well here is my Target and Implied. After I put out my Player window I got a number of requests for this. I thought that since I had done the player window this should be easy. BOY was I wrong. There are a lot of hard coded behaviors in these pieces. Because of this I have included altered versions of widgets02.dds and widget03.dds and a new version of Himay's dds file. Because of the changes in widgets02 if any of your other interface pieces use the epic crowns as a graphic piece they will not line up any more, sorry.

By the way the big empty area at the bottom of the window is for any enhancement icons. That area for those icons was just about the biggest pain. It moves depending on what you are targeting.

One last thing. If anyone is curious about the small purple button it is to change from version 0 to version 1, which basically just hides a few things, but doesn't change the window size. Again that hard coded behavior thing I was talking about earlier.

Well here it is. I'm fairly sure I fixed the problem with the little markers covering some of the words. As you can see there are a lot of changes from the first version. It's mostly just moving things around so the windows work better. If there are more issues, you know what to do.

Not much has changed. A minor graphical change and I think I have fixed the problem with the percents being messed up when you change Characters.

This updates the graphics to be inline with the rest of my mods and adds the hate meter under the name on both the Target and Implied Target windows. Also I changed the graphics for Epic targets to the skulls created by VanGurK. I like the skulls a lot better than the crowns of the default skin. If you haven't looked at the VanGurK reskin I would highly recommend it.

I added the AA star to the target and implied target windows, finally.

I love these!

I cant' figure out the 4 buttons and what the colors mean, but i've only been playing for 5 days. :P

Love the how they work with player frame, and Himay's group window. :P

I love this as well however I'm failing to get percentage text to the right areas. Any idea why?

NM I see to get the percentages in the right area box I need the player window so will have to use my old ones since I use EliteUi and don't want to lose the features there on the player window.

Fantastic job and much appreciated. However, I'm not getting the icons, just the hp and mana bars. How can I get those icons showing too? To clarify, I mean the 4 buttons under the power bar.

Questions and answers

Okay, first the four colored buttons near the bottom are a replacement for the extra graphics associated with combat targets designating how easy or hard the target is. So blue is easy, white is normal, yellow is hard and of course Red would only be found with epic targets.

Second, the percentages are called from the eq2ui_gamedata.xml file. Specifically, Target,Health and Target,Power. If you target something that doesn't have these stats, ie. a crafting table, they will be blank or possible say None. Many NPCs do not have a power stat. You shouldn't need my Player window to see the percentages for your targets. As a side note what features does the Elite UI have for their player window that I don't have. Maybe I can add them.

And lastly if you are only seeing the health and power bars you might be set to version 0. Try hitting the small purple button just above the health bar on the far right. It changes the bar between version 0 and version 1. All it really does is type in the /con_version 0 or /con_version 1 for you.

This is a great target window my fav by far just one thing is there a way to turn off the level above the mobs name. I see the clicky for the conn off and on but that is not for the top part.

I love this mod (and the others created by RickF7666). My only problem is with the implied target window.

If I assist someone, and the implied target is a mob with any sort of arrows (^, ^^, ^^^, v, vv, vvv), the arrows cover the name and level, making it impossible to see. Is there any way to shift the arrows up, or the names down, or something? I tried messing with it using the UIBuilder, but I'm no interface author, and all I did was create some interesting errors.

Having an Odd Problem

It works fine when i first log in - however - If i switch toons - there are two PH type boxes up - for target and implied target - (so black empty boxes) - sometimes when an actual target targeted - then it works again but percents are gone.

So switching toon on same account creates a problem.
Any Ideas?

Oh good, it's not just me. I have no idea why it does that. Or at least I haven't figured it out yet.

I don't switch toons very often so I only noticed it recently. I haven't found anything in the code that would account for this behavior. When I do, I'll post an update.

I will check in on progress from time to time. I really like what you have done. My main focus is seeing the percent which i call out in some raid situations - and sitting at some distance from the screen, yours is the only percent I can actually see. (Bigger is better) Thanks for your effort and will await a fix for the ghost boxes.

Hate bars

There is no setting to turn the hate bar on or off. The hate bar appears behind the target name in the target window. This bar changes sizes and color depending on how much hate you currently have. So if a group member or your pet has most of the hate the bar will be different. Also if you target your group member or pet the implied target window will show the amount of hate their target has toward you.

There is no hate number. This is meant to be a quick reference not a replacement for the hate meter. And quite frankly I'm not sure where I could shoe horn in the hate percent where it wouldn't look bad.
