Description
Quib's Player Window w/ Ammo Indicator and Relative DPS Calculator

Same width as the default player window, but a bit taller.

The small arrow and line visible in the upper right corner of the screenshot toggles between player window and relative DPS calculator (used for comparing weapons). The button in the bottom right corner of the relative DPS calculator window calculates normalized minimum and maximum damage values and a relative DPS number that you can use to compare the potential damage output of different weapons.

Right clicking on your own name reverses the order of inspect, who, window settings. I'm also curious to see what the upper left hand number is for? I currently have a negative 16 up there.

Love the calculator too!

I was a bit dissapointed,

I was thinking that you had managed to parse combat damage and show the calculated min and max with this mod!

Then I realised that is just a claculator.. ie. you have to enter the values yourself in order to get the info desired.

Your intention was unclear to me, but good work anyway, this mod has some code in it I found very interesting and may use in the future.

Dps calculator doesn't seem to work. It always shows zero values no matter if I have 1handed or 2handed weapon in use - attacking mob or not.

What to do to make it work?

Like the idea of it, but guess I don't know how to use it

Love it, Quib. As a scout with a collection of weapons that sometimes pass one another as I get more skill, I was always reaching for a calculator while playing. It's very nice to have one in-game.

When I try to open this with the UI Builder: Error: File contains more than one root level object.

File wont even open in a standard web browswer, perhaps my version is corrupt?

Only one top level element is allowed in an XML document. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/Documents and Settings/myusername/Desktop/quibs_playerwindow/eq2ui_mainhud_player.xml'. Line 7, Position 2

/edit I redownloaded the file. Same error.

I made this all in notepad, and it works properly in-game. I don't design anything I work with to be UIBuilder compliant. It's a wonder the map window is.

Quib
It is an invalid XML file according to programs that read XML like Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer is hardly the program that you should be using to guage the validity of ANY code whatsoever. Anyone who does cross-platform XHTML/CSS knows that IE is the least compliant browser in existence :P

EQ2 hardly uses a proper xml format. This file works in-game and I have personally seen it function on 5 very different computers. Whether IE, an XML validator, etc. think it's valid or not doesn't matter. It does work in EQ2 which is all that matters.

Not spoken in anger, just stating fact. It stinks that UI builder can't load it; clearly its XML parsing isn't as robust and flexible as EQ2's.

You are right, if we can find little tricks to get around some of the limitations, fantastic. I just didn't like being dismissed quickly, although often I switch back to text editors for any code work I do, I like using builders (like the UI builder) makes things easier some times. Especially since I wanted to steal the ammo icon code In the past when making my own website and stuff I often went to www.w3.org to validate my CSS and HTML files. Its good to use standards.

Whats happening in this XML ofcourse is that there are two windows being displayed and since its all wrapped in one XML file when you tell the window to display both display at the same time. I'm not convinced that just because Eq2 seems to be okay with this that we should use this method, but at the same time I think its pretty neat.
