Description
This mod provides a convenient interface for harvesting as well as convenient access to:
open/close inventory bags
harvest info window

Includes code origininally developed by Pooka to display tooltips of each skill level dynamically. This is a great add-on for anyone doing harvesting skill leveling.

I use it in FetishDarkRoyale (a skin of FetishNightFall) but it should function in any UI mod or the default.

To open the window, create a macro with the following command:

/show_window Custom.Harvest_Bar

The zip also contains the Harvest Info window also published here.

If you already have a custom UI with an eq2ui_custom.xml file, just include the <include> statements found in the attached file in yours.

There are plenty of directions on this site on how to install mod files. I won't repeat those here. Feel free to PM me or post a question if you are having trouble.

Version History
Version 1.9
Added Always On skill values. Just click the empty button (no tool visible) on the wheel and you will always see your skills. Click it again and the tooltips will show skills on hover (default).
There are also two file versions included.
The default version works with Default UI and Fetish.
There is a file with the extension .Profit for Profit UI. Just remove the .Profit and copy to your UI folder.
Don't forget to put the proper <include> in your Custom UI file.

Version 1.8
Added Frame and Background. These can be adjusted using the Window Settings sliders to fully transparent or opaque.

Version 1.7
Fixed tooltips to work with GU57.

Version 1.6
Removed Fetish dependencies from included Harvest Info window so it would function in Default UI (or any other custom UI).

Version 1.5
Minor update to include Harvest Info window update for Tier 9.
No change to Harvest Bar.

Version 1.4
Added support for automatic batch scripting on open/close of window. See readme.txt for details on implementation.

Now you can equip your Earring of Solstice and activate it, equip Cloak of the Harvester and other items automatically when you open the Harvest Bar.
Then when you close the window, set things right by re-equipping your primary earring and cloak or other items.

Version 1.3
Fixed the Esc key code. You can now Enable/Disable without affecting other windows in the UI.
Added some code to allow combination of Escape and AlwaysOnTop.
Removed the Titlebar window setting (no longer required).

Window Settings
Frame and Title pull down
None = Escape Disabled
Frame Only = Escape Enabled

Frame and Title
Normal Opacity
Set this to any non zero value (1 to 100) will Disable the AlwaysOnTop setting.
Set this to 0 (zero) to Enable AlwaysOnTop

This change is necessary to support settings for Escape Key and AlwaysOnTop combinations. Unfortunately, the pull down selection allows for only three states and four were needed.

Version 1.2
Includes Frame and Titlebar controls for:

None = Escape Disabled / Always On Top
Frame = Escape Enabled / Always On Top
Frame and Titlebar = Escape Enabled / Always On Top Disbaled

Very usefull

Hey, great little add-on. Solves the issue of always getting to a zone with a newer toon and realizing that I can't harvest anything. (Or fishing with any toon - I never seem to build up that skill!)

Harvesting tool

This would be the ultimate addon, if only there was a way to equip a harvesting tool when ye click on an ability, ie.. foresting/equip a redwood saw that is in your inventory.. equip a shovel, pick, trap. etc...

I am confused by this post. You do not have to equip harvesting tools to get the buff benefits. You simply have to right click them and choose autoconsume and they will stay buffed.

My exact thoughts. There is no need to equip the saw items or over clocked items, just attune them, Right click it and attune it, then right click and Use or Auto Consume as previously stated.

Now for the add on, this is great, I used to have a 6 button hot bar on my screen to hold the gathering buttons, now I can use this.

One suggestion I have is to make the window so that it does not close when you hit escape. I hit escape a lot and the window shuts when I do this.

Other than that. love the mod.

Go here for a quick edit note on how to do this for any window you want immune to ESC.

Simple suggestions

These are not criticisms as much as simple suggestions.

#1 Make the window by default not close on escape instead of having the users modify the XML file themselves. You already have an icon to close the window. (Anyone else agree?)

#2 The window stays on top of all other windows. If I open the in game browser, this stays on top of it. This mod looks so nice and blends so well I like to leave it up at all times however with it staying on top of other windows, it can get in the way.

Again these are not to criticize the mod in anyway. The mod is a great and wonderful tool designed with a very nice look/feel that makes it blend in very nicely with the game. The heroic opportunity style look was a great idea. These are just pointing things out that may better the mod for the people that use it.

Thanks for the wonderful mod.

Re: Simple suggestions

I posted an update that should address your request.

Maybe not the 'default', but it is now a choice to make your default. Just set window Frame on and it responds to Esc key.

I personally love having the window on top so bags and other windows don't hide my harvest bar (it can get buried). However, if you want this, set Frame and Title on and you get both Esc and a floating window.

Great feedback, thanks.

Re: Re: Simple suggestions

This is unfortunate but I need to post this.

I am not sure of the method you used to make the window not close on escape, However when this is in effect, it is in effect for everything in the game.

Escape no longer works at all.

I cannot cancel targets, I cannot close windows that used to close with escape, anything. This Stops the use of escape for all things not just your mod.

And while I am posting this, Can I request one of the modes being

Escape Disabled / Always On Top Disabled.

Thanks

Re: Re: Re: Simple suggestions

I did not test the Escape sequence in regards to other windows. As I stated, I don't use that feature, so once I checked that it responded fine, I posted it.

It turns out that the topmost window to use the command IsCancel will have and effect on all the other windows at and below that level. Since this window resides at the same level as the MainHUD, it messes with everything.

So I booted that code and opted for a hack that I forgot I had in there and it works fine and is a cleaner implementation.

Now for the dirty implementation. The use of the pull down for storing settings is nice, but it is limited. In order to give you four states of settings, I had to opt for a little bit dirtier hack.

The Escape key is now controlled by the pull down and the AlwaysOnTop feature is controlled by the Frame opacity setting. This way the two are completly independent. You can now have both on, both off, or one or the other. This is not possible in the pull down method since only 3 states are available.

I don't really like this method, but it serves the purpose and once you set it you can forget it.

Thank you for a nice little mod. Works great with ProfitUI. Had a few problems earlier, but since you fixed the Fetish dependent parts, looks real nice.

GU#57 breaks part of Harvest Bar

While testing ProfitUI yesterday in the new UI on the test server, I also loaded your neat harvesting info tool. The pop up window with the list of harvest nodes by tier worked fine. Unfortunately the ring with the current harvesting stats did not. I suspect it has sometime to do with the way they are reworking the main hud.

I use this mod all the time and was also disappointed the new GU seems to have affected its mouseover capabilities. Now when mousing over instead of getting the xxx/xxx skill numbers you get: Parent.Parent.Persona.MainPage.TabPages....Status.LocalText. It's quite long so I won't type it all out here. I hope there is a workaround? A line of code we could manually change?

Sorry I didn't get this updated sooner. I actually fixed it as soon as the GU happened, but forgot I posted the mod on this site =P I mostly do these things for personal use.

I will have a posted fix this evening.
