------------------------------------------------

Fetish DarkRoyale

(Updated Nov 14, 2007)

A Motif/Compilation based on the Fetish UI Framework by Zonx

by Netherworks
(Kaldu and Naluu on Crushbone)

------------------------------------------------

DarkRoyale is built on the Fetish Nightfall v9.1 core
(Original Fetish Page: http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info3563-FetishNightfallv9.1.html)

DarkRoyale Features:

- Darkly styled Blue and Gold UI elements with additional custom, hand-drawn graphics.

- 32-bit .dds graphics for less distortion during compression (shouldn't have an impact on performance... nothing noticable in testing)

- Custom Mouseover graphic for Hotbars.

- New Ring Target graphics. Skulls for the outer rings, glowing daggers for the inner ring/connected targets.

- Cleanfont by Passatuner included and integrated (made LU 39 compatible)

- EQ2Map integrated and themed.

------------------------------------------------
*** You MUST run the EQ2Map downloader after installing DarkRoyale to get the game maps/icons ***

*** BE SURE to have "Ask to overwrite MainHUD.Map" selected in options and DO NOT overwrite when it prompts, otherwise some UI features may be lost ***

EQ2Map Auto Updater link: http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info3509-EQ2MAP-AutoUpdatingVersionOfficial.html Alternatively you may copy your EQ2 Maps to the images/maps directory under FetishDarkRoyale.

------------------------------------------------

... Custom Map Icons for EQ2Map.

- EQ2Map POI Finder integrated and themed. Compatible with POI Finder Updater.

- Integrated Advanced Dressing Room by gm9

Deviations from Fetish Nightfall UI elements:

- Market Window now has an extra "clear" button to reset ONLY the Item Search field.

- Modified Bag Options Window with an extra "clear bag name" button.

- Modified Tradeskill Recipes Window with an extra "clear search field" button.

- Modified In-Game Browser with a "clear search field" button, home button and additional "must have" bookmarks.

- Guild Bank Settings window now has Clear buttons.

- List View style for Maintained spells window. Original Fetish style is still present and appended with "_original_" if you'd rather use that.

- Player Window now shows Health and Power Regeneration Values in addition to everything else.

- You can now set player flags from a dynamic menu in the Player Window (afk, anon, etc).

- Web Browser reorganized. Additional button added for setting the current webpage as your home page.

- Bag Options and Hotbar Options windows now have logical "presets" in increments of 4 (24,28,32,etc).

- New Window Options buttons allow you to copy mouseover to normal opacity or vice versa with a button press.

- Start Button Redesign. Bags button is larger and now opens all bags and bank bags at once (if at the bank, duh).

- Easy Follow Group Members. When partied, simply press the "F Key Number" in the left corner to follow that group member.

- Modified EQ2 Start Button without video and sound controls and a larger "nightvision" button. A "mini control" panel allows you to toggle on/off: illusion form, group invites, duel requests. Also includes personabar, web browser and info center toggles.. PLUS:

- Volume Control. You basically can set EQ2's master volume as well as voice, music, combat music from the panel - setting from 0 (muted) to 10 (max).
Once you select the sound levels you want they show up with a border around them so you know what has been selected.
However, there is no way to truly hook the Volume Panel into your existing sound levels so a preset is provided which, by default, sets all the sounds to half (5 on the scale). You can then proceed from there.

- Notebook. In Game Notes that you can "write" yourself. Features 5 tabs and the option to send the contents of each tab to "say", "guild chat" or "group chat". Contents remain when the window is closed/hidden. 32k text for each page. Note that text is NOT saved between EQ2 sessions.

- Waybar. A small waypoint bar that can be placed anywhere you'd like for easily entering waypoint coordinates without having to stop and type /way in the chat window. Also useful when using the mini-map size. Only allows text entry when mouse pointer is focused over the text field.

... The original fetish startbutton is included as "_original_eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml" if you'd rather have that. Simple change the name of "eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml" to something else and rename "_original_eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml" to "eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml".

... (optional) Also included is a simple Start Button, without sound, nightvision or video controls, just like normal EQ2. It is included as "_single_eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml" if you'd like to use that.

- An optional fullsize zoning window, just like normal EQ2 has been included if you don't want to chat during zoning. It is named "_fullsize_eq2ui_hud_zoning.xml". Simply change the name of "eq2ui_hud_zoning.xml" to something else and rename "_fullsize_eq2ui_hud_zoning.xml" to "eq2ui_hud_zoning.xml" if you'd like to use this.

- Hotkey Bars rebuilt from default. You should now be able to move the bars by selecting any empty space around the hotbar. Spinners now show properly (optional, of course) but will not rescale with bar size changes.

- Persona Bar now has show/hide Group options (for solo play) and show/hide Maintained Spells (may have to hit twice to show)

- Advanced Dressing Room by gm9 integrated. Skinned to match DarkRoyale.

- Fixed Text Entry Box issues typical of EQ2. Broker and Recipe windows now only accept input while your cursor is hovering over broker or recipe main window (tweaked). This means you can use keyboard commands while those windows are open without entering text by accident.

Further Developments:

- Appearance Equipment appears in DarkRoyale when Inspecting other characters (LU 38)
- Support for Detrimental Effects bar (LU 39)
- Support for Guild Bank Naming and Settings Window (LU 39)

Additional Thanks:

Passatuner for Cleanfont (http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info4411-Cleanfont.html)
TreeMos for EQ2 Map POI Finder (http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info4495-EQ2MapPOIFinderEnhancedSpoilerProject.html)
taco-man for EQ2Map Auto Updating Version (http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info3509-EQ2MAP-AutoUpdatingVersionOfficial.html)
gm9 for Advanced Dressing Room (http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info4572-AdvancedDressingRoomWindow.html)

BIG THANKS to Fetish a.k.a Zonx for an AWESOME UI and allowing me to fiddle with it. The original files were provided to preserve his work in its entirety. In the future it is possible that Fetish DarkRoyale may deviate from the core Fetish project.

- Happy Adventuring in Norrath and I hope you like the UI!

Question compatibility as of 2009

Are DarkRoyale & Darksoul compatible with the Shadow Odyssey expansion?

Someone else just came out with the LU53 update for DarkRoyale,
so I'm a bit confused, as I don't see any other updates for these UIs.

Yeah, check the support page http://www.eq2interface.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=9457 . Someone asked this as well. I want to fully test with DarkRoyale and then do a list of unified color changes so I don't go crazy trying to update every little bit

Weird. I did not have to do that with FetishNightFall proper, but that did solve my problem.

Thanks a bunch!

Hotkey bars fixed. Rebuilt from Default. Seems to work well here so we'll see how that goes

You should be able to select any of the space just outside a hotbar to move it when it's unlocked. Spinners reinstated but they do no scale with the bar size. I did make them more compact in lieu of this.

Original package has been replaced so just redownload. Some other things tweaked/adjusted in the Changes list above.

I've had that happen too, even after moving things around. Most of my chars have the 2-bar setup but one has the 1-bar and I do have to set that manually when I play him.

As I suspected, going with 1-bar has to be "hard coded" in the xml file. This isn't a fault of the UI, its likely an interface/game coding issue when dealing with custom windows, which the personabar would qualify.

Check this Fetish support page: http://www.eq2interface.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=7320

Do an in-page search (browser function) of "Customizing Personabar" (no quotes).

Hope this helps!

After playing with the UI more, I have one nagging issue. I'm not certain if it's a setting I missed or something I can't find or what, but, I cannot get my settings for the persona bar to persist between sessions.

I use style 2(?), the long thin bar, but every time I log out then back in, it reverts to style 1(?) which is the shorter, twin rows.

How can I get my persona bar to stay how I leave it?

This is EXACTLY what I had in mind when I built FetishNightfall... to provide a Faremwork other authors could easily tweak without having to recode everything from scratch. I fully support what Netherworks has done here and plan to give him what help I can keeping his Motif up to date, which may include incorporating some of his tweaks into Nightfall.

Nice work Netherworks

yeah... I apologize for the Hotbar issue and will see what I can do about that It happened to me too as of late and I'm not exactly sure why. nothing was changed in the hotbar file (from Fetish core) except the hotbar border color. I'll look into this.

(UPDATE) - yes it is somehow the hotbar file. No worries. I will rebuild this today and post a fix + update the package.

A UI so good, I had to delurk and make a post.

I love it man, Fetish was great, and this is even better.

Crazy kudos to both you and Zonx.

To Fwaits, I don't know if it is the intended functionality of this UI, but to move hotbars you have to drag them by their spinner. So enable the spinners if they aren't, then you can move them.

Please keep up the good work Nether.

Hotbars

Great version of the Fetish UI, love it so far. I am however having one problem. I cannot seem to move the hotbars around. I can resize them fine, but even though the window is unlocked, I cannot get the mouse to change to the "move" icon and drag it around. All other windows seem to move fine. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Hey, thanks guys (or gals as the case may be)! I'm glad you like the UI and I owe Zonx big props for the core - without that, it would be nothing!

DarkSoul (Vampire) UI in testing and should be out by Monday... just in time for Halloween!
