Hi Darq,

Any chance the extended player window can adhere to the group setting of "cancel on cure" or perhaps add in a tickbox for that on that window?

This is a good idea. Separate settings for "Cures cancel spellcast" have been added to Player and Extended Player windows. You can download the new files now. The setting is not active by default so you'll have to set it from the window manager. Try it out and post here if you have any problems.

The maximum number of maintained spell icons that can be displayed is 30, and I'm not aware of a way to increase it.

The navigation bar and the experience bar are absolutely awful. I like to edit the buttons in the navigation bar to things that I use more frequently, but when I log out of my character, they are reset to the default. I also changed the size of the experience bar so it is longer, but it's short when I come back into the game. Then I have to hit "snooze" on the tithe thing to make the background transparent again, EVERY SINGLE TIME. I disable that every time I log in, but it won't save anything. I want to disable the experience bar and the navigation bar and go back to the default without uninstalling Darqui. Is that possible still? It used to be years ago when I used it, but I couldn't figure out if you still could. I love to use Darqui for the broker and crafting windows, mainly.

Yes it's possible. Check for updates with the utility, then right-click Experience and Delete. Then check the "Skip" checkbox next to Experience. Do the same for Nav Bar and you should be all fixed up.

Indeed, there is a rare problem - sometimes settings any window may not be saved.

Thank you very much! Your directions were simple enough, but boy has everything changed! Interestingly enough, that experience bar wasn't being resetted anymore on my character named "Hollcome." However, I can replicate the issue on all my other characters.

There is no setting on the UI to change it, but use Notepad to open these two files:

eq2ui_journals_quest.xml
eq2ui_journals_active.xml

Near the top of each, change the ZAM line to read Value="true"

I'm not where I can log in right now but this should give you a ZAM button. If not, post again and I'll take another look at it.

Letterbox Substitute

I don't know how much you're doing in terms of new features, but I have a request.

I like to use the letterbox feature in game options to black out the upper and lower parts of the screen because I place most of my UI there. Unfortunately, there is a severe graphics glitch that occurs in many of the newer zones which makes it nearly unplayable (ghosting images, disappearing water, etc.) for me and other people (think it's an nVidia thing). Turning off the letterbox seems to fix this, but then I don't have the nice black background for my UI.

So I wondered if you'd consider adding a means to simulate a letterbox. I imagine it to be mouse-drag resizable vertically (top and bottom separately would be wonderful) and lockable. I understand that the game will still render underneath. I just want the background.

Obviously it would need to always be below any UI elements, and probably shouldn't have any click behavior at all (except the drag handle in edit mode).

Does that sound like a lot of effort to you?

Re: Re: Adding Zam

Thanks! When I did that it fixed the quest journal but now the quest tracker does not show any of the buttons when I hover over a quest now.

An updated Quest Helper is available that should solve this issue. You will still need to use Notepad as before, changing the Zam line to true. Please post again if it's still giving you trouble.

I don't use the letterbox so wasn't aware there were any issues with it. I'll see if there is a way to show the blackout areas (or draw some new ones) without changing the underlying viewport.
