Hope you'll forgive the probably very stupid question, I've not played with any eq2 mods before but this is exactly what I've been looking for.. clean, efficient and looks like it belongs in the default UI rather than taking over with it's own style... so I'll be installing it later today regardless (assuming it works with GU57!)

I've only taken a very quick look at this codewise but it looks like it could easily be modified spellwise to include some other class specials such as Sonic Barrier, Oration Of Sacrifice, Gravitas, Jesters Cap etc but from the looks I'm assuming it will keep the default priest icons for small heal / big heal etc.

I'm guessing there isn't really a way of the UI dynamically changing the icons according to what class you're playing (or you'd have done that already) and if that's the case and I wish to alter this mod, it be better for me to make the necessary changes and then just use a batch file to swap .xml files as appropriate?

Finally I'd just like to thank you for what looks like an awesome mod (and ACT of course) and second the requests below for the same treatment to the Group Window if you ever manage to find the time!

I read about it on some other mod and didn't really like the idea.

For a normal cure, there isn't much lost if you cure nothing. For curses, I've found that there are situations where I know a curse will appear and must be cured ASAP. Either by hearing in voice chat or by using a casting animation(Gynok/Ykesha for example) I can have the cure casting and land immediately after.

I don't want my mod telling me that I cannot cast it when I want to. Furthermore, having the mod cancel the cure cast if someone else cures it would be against the EULA, so don't ask.

If you start with something like:
<Page Name="CureMacro" Active="false" OnShow="raidsay Parent.UseAbility.SpellName used | Parent.UseAbility.SpellTarget
Visible=false" />

Just add a new line with the next chat thing to add.
<Page Name="CureMacro" Active="false" OnShow="raidsay Parent.UseAbility.SpellName used | Parent.UseAbility.SpellTarget
tellchannel somechannel Parent.UseAbility.SpellName used | Parent.UseAbility.SpellTarget
Visible=false" />

Re: Group window

I'd be very inclined to see what you came up with. I've been itchin for a group window comparable to your raid mod for some time now. There's just nothing out there that floats my boat - simple, effective, healery, and not plastered with extra stuff.

I currently use a pretty non-standard group window layout that most people would find too strange. Not to mention it doesn't have anything special in it atm.

I guess I could make a fixed, but larger version of one of the group frames... but I'm curious who would use one shaped like that. Before now I tried a few different layouts on "paper" that I didn't like.

Well I don't know about anyone else, but I would use it for sure. I've tried several of the other stand-alone group window mods and none of them have the instant plug and playability of this raid window along with its click to cure and click to cast and its compactness. It's so simple to install and use a monkey could figure it out, but yet so useful I haven't even considered looking at other raid window mods since I found this one. In terms of size and shape, I'd guess you'd be able to make it resizeable. Or even just keep it the same size. People who already use your raid window shouldn't have problems with its appearance, even if it's just one quarter the usual size.

Re: Re: need help

Any chance you could tweak the code for this raid window and turn out a group window mod with this kind of functionality as well?

Depends on which version of EQ2(if streaming) you're using and possibly where you told it to install.

Thanks for adding the option for text macros! I have been searching around in other raid frames looking for a way to to add them in.

As mentioned before, the macro doesn't activate unless its used after another macro'd ability (works after you press anything, normal cures as well - not just the heal buttons). Obviously this isn't a major issue but is there any way to have it work without hitting something else?

Agree with chriswebstar on cross-group revives. Would be nice to have that ability.

I've only just downloaded this, but liking it already. The only problems I can see right off the bat are that for some reason my Cure Curse and normal Cure buttons are the wrong way around (i.e., the Cure Curse button is first along the line, then Cure, then heals). I can see it's not that way on the screenshots, can anyone shed some light on this?

Also, I tried to set a macro for Cure Curse and it's not showing up. I have set it to active="true". Not sure if this is to do with what someone else said about using that spell first and so the macro doesn't work - does that still apply? I hit it first after I relogged because I had set visible to true instead of active and hadn't yet read the comments. Will try that out tomorrow if no response, but really need to go sleep right now.

Any help appreciated, thanks for sharing your work!

Edit - My issues seem to have sorted themselves out somehow. The icons are the right way around and the cure curse macro works so long as I don't use it first.

I still stand by my comment about rezzes. :P

You just hit enter at the end of the first chat command and type another. Don't duplicate any of the XML.

this stuff

I don't care about the tooltip thing, just glad you picked that choice

I'm still having some trouble with 2 things.

First, it's probably not a problem, but you may want to know. If cure curse happens to be the first spell you cast in a raid, the macro doesn't work. You have to use one of the other heal buttons first, then the curse macro will work.

Since it's unlikely that'd ever be the first spell cast, I don't see that it matters overly much.

Second, I'm still having great difficulty getting the macro to show in more than one channel. Right now I have it in our heal channel. Currently that reads:

<Page Name="CureCurseMacro" Active="true" OnShow="tellchannel healparse Parent.UseAbility.SpellName used | Parent.UseAbility.SpellTarget
Visible=false" />

I thought you said previously to use a new line, so I've tried duplicating the entire entry with raidsay replacing healparse, which is this:

<Page Name="CureCurseMacro" Active="true" OnShow="tellchannel healparse Parent.UseAbility.SpellName Parent.UseAbility.SpellTarget
Visible=false" />
<Page Name="CureCurseMacro" Active="true" OnShow="raidsay Parent.UseAbility.SpellName Parent.UseAbility.SpellTarget
Visible=false" />

and simply adding more to the original, and that ends up showing only the last bit to raidsay:

<Page Name="CureCurseMacro" Active="true" OnShow="tellchannel zellieparse Parent.UseAbility.SpellName Parent.UseAbility.SpellTarget
Visible=false" OnShow="raidsay Parent.UseAbility.SpellName Parent.UseAbility.SpellTarget
Visible=false" />

Neither is working for me and I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind telling me what I'm doing wrong.
