we should talk sometime on aim, i have basicly done the same thing for the eq2map updater so that it can be run anywhere and read registry and the eq2.ini file to know which folder to put the updates for eq2map in. I just havent released it yet because i am still testing it.

Well, you can restart the timer and see how long it takes me to get the installer working. So far I've got it to the point of being able to autodetect the EQ2 directory, so I'm off to a good start.
