I keep getting the message after I download EQ2 Map that it can't open EQ2 and I need to open it manually. Once I do connect manually the map sysetem doesn't work. I have deleted the files a few times and keep getting that message. Anyone have any sujestions on what to do? Thanks

For new quests and quest updates not getting any flashing books or feathers anymore, been like that for me since last LU, updated maps and it still won't, any idea what's wrong? Thanks in advance.

I am having the same issues...along with not being able to update my maps. I can visit the same zones as others and still my maps are unavailable ...if i have to press download one more time...i will scream LOL. I have to physically point my arrow on the screan and drag it to find my location on the map...its annoying

I downloaded, or so I thought, when finished it stated error and could not log me into EQII....Ive gone into the game manually and still I do not have any updated maps.....can anyone help me????

have new computer. windows vista SP1 64 bit dual core. downloaded map 1,2,3. shows on desk top and in programs. will not apply itself into EQ2. only map that shows in eq2 is the (i believe) original with no poi's etc.

i tried using "run as admin" and not using "run".

directions please.

Downloaded map, but not getting any Poi's or new maps, anyone know whats wrong with it?

I tried to use the option in game to revert back to old maps by unchecking the use new map box under the UI menu. I hear the user interface sound when I hit the m key but there is not a map window. I hit f10 and still nothing. I hate the new maps and would like to use the old ones if possible. Any ideas on what I have done wrong or any tips on if and how this can be rectified?

Maybe I'm mistaken but is anyone experiencing the map not following the character all the time? For example if you have the map zoomed a bit and you leave the section of the map that is displayed the map won't follow the character to the other sections of the map unless you tell it to center on your character. Say you are in Antonica and you leave from the west section to head to the east section. The map doesn't follow you when you cross over I'm finding. I just removed EQ2Map to try it out with the default updated map that came with TSO and the default original map will follow you (the same way the original map system did and still does).

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have Profit UI installed and that is what I'm using. I noticed E2Map wasn't working in the UI and checked the settings. Profit UI isn't showing up in the UI Directory, just EQ2MAP.

I am using the newest version of EQ2Map, 1.2.3

I am not sure if this is something that is part of the map system, or something that is part of the game itself. This has been happening for years, even in the old map system, so assuming part of the game itself, but could possiably be able to correct it though the map.

When I set a waypoint and start to head that way and get a quest update, my waypoint disappears and I need to reset it. This can get very annoying when I go through a zone and get many quest updates on my way to my end destination. There have been times I have had to reset my waypoint 15 to 20 times before I finally get there. Even getting discovery XP seems to be counted as quest update and clears my waypoint.

This is starting to get really old, really fast with the newer map system. I love the new map system other then this issue.

There is a very small mod i would like to make to EQ2map or POI Finder (not sure which), and if someone could assist me in editing the mod it would be greatly appreciated.

What i need is basic. I want to be able to select several poi's at the same time, so several are marked with an X on my map at the same time. I realize this might not be possible because that's more game mechanics than the mod itself. Maybe another good way to mod it is when you use poi finder to search for a poi and it flashed for a few seconds, make it to where i can have several poi's flashing on my map until i deselect them.

This would make questing a thousand times easier, so if anyone can help please let me know!

Hi there fella,
Just downloaded the ver 1.2 have it ready to unpack but winzip/winrar/7zip are all unable to extract the program error message is always damaged archive/unknown format/etc.
Is anyone else getting these errors?
HAve been using the Updater since version 1, but I am really stumped on this one as it's teh first time I have ever had this issue with a zipped file

ok apparently the version is not 1.2.0 that is here to download, as i have downloaded it twice now to confirm it, it is actually still...version 1.1.1....unless you have changed the version, but NOT the number? possible?
